Greenfield-New Berlin Little League and Jr. Hawks Baseball/Softball (the “League”) “Plan to Play”

The League, in coordination with Little League International, wish to promote the health of all players, coaches, umpires, volunteers and  spectators. This Plan is to address guidelines/expectations for parents, players, and spectators for practices as well as during the games this season. Following is a list of items to accomplish this goal. Please note this list is expected to change on short notice:

Any player, coach or volunteer who is ill should stay home and not participate. Notify your coach
or appropriate Board Member if you will be absent.

All spectators are encouraged to wear masks, especially senior citizens and those with compromised immune systems or conditions that make them susceptible to infectious disease.

Family members with weakened or compromised immune systems should stay home to avoid any unnecessary risks. Senior citizens are also encouraged to remain home to be safe.

Continue to practice social distancing. All credit card transactions will be subject to a fee from Square.

Hand sanitizing supplies will be provided to each team and coach and handwashing/sanitizing designated areas are in the park (restrooms, concessions, wash stations). Coaches are encouraged to have each player sanitize before entering the dugout and at change of innings.

Social distancing is strongly encouraged for all. No high fives, fist bumps, handshakes, eating/using seeds, no spitting, etc. will be allowed in the Park.

Only the up to bat, on deck and in the hole batter will be in the dugout. All other players with helmets on will be seated on bleachers outside dugout (unless another alternative option becomes available). Coaches/volunteers will help with social distance.

The bleachers will be unavailable for spectators. As such, spectators are expected to practice social distancing on their own. Bring a lawn chair.

Players are encouraged to use their own personal equipment and avoid sharing. Team catchers gear must be wiped down with disinfecting between players. If families cannot afford helmets, bats, or other equipment, please reach out to the League for assistance. Additional equipment will be available as well in each Team Bag.

All shared equipment must be wiped down before, during and after the games.

Both dugouts, and bleachers will be sanitized between games.

Baseballs will be sanitized each half inning.

Social Distancing (ongoing pending guidelines)
